God delights in you

ree

“Look to him and be radiant, so your faces shall never be ashamed” (Psalm 34:5).

Today’s promise word comes from Isaiah 65:19, where the Lord declares that he will rejoice over our families, and there shall be no distress, pain, or weeping among us. Those who are now weeping and crying will soon laugh and rejoice, for the Lord delights in you and longs to see you joyful in him. How does he take delight in us? The Lord says he delights in us as a bridegroom delights in his bride (Isaiah 62:5). We are his delight, the signs and symbols of his victory in this world (Isaiah 8:18).

Your enemies will not prevail against you, for the Lord gives you victory. As Proverbs 16:7 says, “When the ways of people please the LORD, he causes even their enemies to be at peace with them.” The Lord also grants us victory over sin, sickness, suffering, and death, which is affirmed by the teaching of the Catholic Church (CCCc 314). By his passion and death, Christ gave new meaning to suffering, which, when united with his own, becomes a means of purification and salvation for us and for others. Truly, there are many reasons to rejoice: the Lord has redeemed us, forgiven our sins, healed our sicknesses, delivered us from the devil, and promised us eternal life.

Lift up your hands now and say, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Do not hesitate to thank the Lord but rejoice in him. O my soul, do not forget to bless his name. Do not be reluctant to praise him, for he has forgiven your sins, defeated your enemies, renewed your youth like the eagle’s, and answered all your prayers” (Psalm 103:1–5).

The Lord has also promised his Holy Spirit, another helper and advocate, who will teach us everything and will not leave us as orphans (John 14:16, 18, 25). And Jesus himself has promised to be with his followers until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). Lift up your hands and rejoice, for his presence is assured wherever two or three gather in his name (Matthew 18:20). As you read this, believe in your heart that you are in the presence of the Holy Spirit and that Jesus is with you right now. Wherever you are, he comes to you. What will Jesus do for you now? The very miracles and healings he performed 2,000 years ago, he continues to perform today. Believe, and you will be blessed. For as Isaiah 35:5 says, when he comes, the blind shall see, the deaf shall hear, the mute shall speak, and the lame shall walk.

Prophecy is the testimony of Jesus and his work. We are called to be living signs of God’s grace in this world, bearing witness to Christ through the many ways he blesses us. And God never grows weary of doing good for his children (Jeremiah 32:40). In time, you too will become a living testimony to the wonders of Jesus in your life. Your test will turn into testimony, your trial into triumph, your sorrow into joy, and your curse into blessing. Thank you, Jesus! Praise you, Jesus!

Here are some testimonies that bear witness to God’s goodness and his delight in healing his children:

Alex Joseph shares: “I have been healed from insomnia and anxiety disorder. I struggled with insomnia for three years and anxiety disorder for twenty years, relying on medication on and off. Through prayer, faith, medicine, and the Word of God, I am now completely healed and free.”

Savitha Dsouza from Mumbai testifies: “I was blessed with the gift of a child after facing major pregnancy complications. I conceived in November 2024, but my pregnancy was marked by heavy bleeding and a growing clot. Through the 3 PM Divine Mercy Prayer and blessed holy water, I prayed to carry my baby full term. On 8th August, I had a C-section, and during surgery, when complications arose, I prayed again. By God’s grace, my baby girl and I were both safe.”

Anny says: “My daughter failed her UK driving test in July 2025 and was deeply disappointed, as getting a second appointment was difficult. Through Logos online adoration, she received a date for 28th August 2025. On that day, we claimed the promise word during adoration, and she passed the test. I had also prayed for my son’s master’s degree in the UK, and he graduated with distinction.”

All glory and honour be to Jesus forever and ever. Amen.
