You will get the reward of a prophet

Today the Lord gives us a wonderful promise from Matthew chapter 10, verse 41: Those who welcome a prophet in their life will receive a prophet’s reward. And what is this reward that you are going to receive?

Let us read 1 Kings chapter 17, verse 14. There we find an episode where a widow received the reward of a prophet. To welcome a prophet into your home or into your life, to assist or support that prophet in continuing the mission of Jesus—there is a reward. And this reward was revealed at Zarephath.

Let us read together: “For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: The jar of meal will not be emptied, and the jug of oil will not fail until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.”

This happened during a time of famine and drought that lasted for three and a half years. The prophet Elijah went to a place called Zarephath in Lebanon. Most of the people there were worshippers of Baal. Elijah asked a widow, “Give me a small piece of bread.” She replied, “I have no means to give you food. I have only a little flour and some oil—just enough to make one loaf for myself and my son. After that, we have no provision to live; we are going to die of starvation.”

But the prophet said, “You will receive the reward of a prophet. Please bake me a small piece of bread and bring it to me.” Immediately, she went to her kitchen, took the little she had, and prepared a small loaf for Elijah. After eating it, the prophet said to her, “From today onwards, the Lord declares that you have received the reward of a prophet. Because you accepted me into your home and gave me food, you and your son will not starve. Instead, you will experience increase and multiplication—in your finances, your spiritual life, and all your needs. You will see the providence of God.”

And just as the prophet said, for three years she had enough oil in her jug and enough flour in her jar. That is the reward of a prophet.

So, if you support the mission or ministry of a priest or preacher, today’s promise is for you—you will continually experience increase and multiplication.

Later, tragedy struck that family again. Her husband had already died, and after Elijah entered her home, her son fell ill and died. Then the prophet lifted his hands and prayed, and the boy was restored to life. That restoration of life is also part of a prophet’s reward. You will have life in abundance—death itself will fear to enter your home.

This is the promise Jesus gave, already fulfilled in Elijah’s time. So, we can count two great rewards in this prophecy:

1. Increase and multiplication in your resources, talents, and opportunities.

2. Restoration and protection of life.

When you help a prophet and welcome his ministry into your life, you share in this blessing. Many of you are beneficiaries of the prophetic mission of Logos Retreat Centre. This promise has already been fulfilled in the lives of thousands. Each testimony is proof—a witness to Christ Jesus and the living spirit of prophecy.

When prophets proclaim what the Lord will do in your life—what He has done yesterday, is doing today, and will do tomorrow—Jesus Himself brings it to fulfillment. Then you will have a testimony. And your testimony becomes the proof of Jesus Christ and His work in our time.

Revelation 19:10 says that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. So, the prophecy or proclamation given is a testimony of what Jesus is doing among you right now.

What is the first reward you are going to receive?

When you become part of the Logos prophetic mission and assist the Logos Retreat Centre in any way, the first reward is increase and multiplication—in your resources, your material blessings, and your spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts mean your charisms, your gift of prayer, and your spiritual growth.

The second benefit is deliverance from premature death. Many testimonies from Logos Retreat Centre prove this truth—deadly diseases have been healed, sicknesses have been canceled when people believed and received the prophetic word.

Today we have a testimony from Luella of Coimbatore. She was suffering for many years from rheumatoid arthritis. No medicine brought relief, and her frustration kept increasing. During this online ministry, she heard the prophetic word: “Throw away your walking stick. Stand up and walk in the name of Jesus.” She obeyed. She set aside her walking stick and began walking like a normal person. Today, three days later, all her medical tests are normal—there is no sign of rheumatoid arthritis. Thank you, Jesus! Hallelujah!

She welcomed the prophetic mission of Logos into her life through the online ministry. The word of prophecy entered her home, and she received her reward. Her long-standing sickness disappeared because she believed and obeyed the Word of God.

Thus, the promise of Matthew 10:41 is fulfilled in Luella’s life. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus!

Today or tomorrow, you too will receive the reward of this prophetic mission. I have seen so many people who have supported the Logos Retreat Centre—financially, spiritually, and in many ways—and without exception, all of them have received their reward, because the reward is proclaimed, promised, and fulfilled by Jesus Christ Himself.

So today or tomorrow, you too will receive these two major rewards of a prophet:

1. Increase and multiplication in your resources, talents, and opportunities.

2. Abundant life and divine protection for your family.

If you face problems with your children, remember the widow of Zarephath. Her only son—who served the prophet—died. She was heartbroken, but through Elijah’s prayer, the spirit of death was bound at the feet of Jesus, and life was restored. In the same way, divine life will flourish in your family.

Let’s take another testimony. During His Passion, Jesus was carrying the Cross to Calvary. He was exhausted and unable to go further. Then Simon of Cyrene, an African farmer who had migrated to Jerusalem, was compelled to help Jesus carry the Cross for a short distance—less than 200 meters—to Calvary. Because of that small act of help to the Prophet of prophets, Simon received a great reward. His two sons, Alexander and Rufus, later became prominent—Alexander a Roman governor and Rufus a saintly bishop in West Asia. Their father became known through his children.

Likewise, many Logosians—your children and grandchildren—will rise as bishops, priests, nuns, and leaders like IAS and IPS officers. You will be known through them. Praise the Lord!

The prophet’s reward is rich and encouraging. Do not hesitate to support the proclamation ministry of the Church. Praise the Lord!

Once again, extend your hands toward Jesus and offer all your intentions for evangelization. When you share the Logos Voice TV link with ten people each day, you share the burden of the prophetic mission and receive a reward.

Let me share another testimony. This happened in the UK. A man afflicted with a brain tumor decided to share the Logos online ministry with ten people daily for nine days. By the end of the novena, he had reached ninety people and encouraged them to pray. On the tenth day, he received his medical report—his brain tumor had completely disappeared. He received the reward of a prophet. Thank you, Jesus!

We also have a testimony from Alvin Monteiro from Mumbai. He was suffering from prostate enlargement and was advised to undergo a biopsy to test for cancer. After attending the Logos retreat, his report came back clear—no cancer was found. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

In the same family, his wife underwent a successful heart transplant without any complications. All glory and honor to Jesus forever and ever. Amen!

Another testimony: Nancy Pereira from Bangalore. During her daughter’s pregnancy, while traveling from the U.S. to India, she contracted dengue fever. As an online participant of the retreat, she was healed, and her child was completely unharmed. The baby was safely delivered, and later the family received a new house with a beautiful garden. Truly, they received the prophet’s reward—increase, multiplication, life, and fulfillment of their dreams.

So let us seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the fulfillment of all you intentions:Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
